Friday Blog Project - Canal Scene!

Morning all, Friday 29th November and it is my turn – Gaynor for the Friday Project from Little Claire – tis also my good friend Sue’s Birthday and hubbie and I are off to watch War Horse in Manchester this evening………

For today’s project I am sharing Sue’s card – hope she doesn’t mind.  I am also using the new December Club Set from Little Claire.  There are four different element images plus two sentiments included in this set – Canal Scene.

I have used a 6” x 6” scalloped base card, backing paper from Little Claire; yellow card from the stash used a Memory Box bow swirl die, a little flower punch.  Black mementos ink pad, black adhesive crystals, glitter glue and glossy accents.

Promarkers as shown.
I have inked around the edges of all the elements with the dark grey.  The swan image is stamped twice.  Paper layered and fixed as shown.

The swan image is stamped twice again and the little cygnets cut out and added to main stamped work to cover up some of the image lines to extend the artwork.
The tiny punched flowers are shaped and added to the card as shown with adhesive black stones to the centres.................."Black Eyed Susie" - I wonder if Sue will make the link!

I have added glossy accents and glitter glue to the “water” to create additional dimension and interest.

I hope you like my little make – and club members are pleased with your new Club pack………if you would like to join the project club please check out the details on the Little Claire Website www.littleclaire.co.uk

Wirral Workshop Piccies

Morning everyone, it is definitely autumn this morning - and the clocks going back proved it.  Just been chatting to our daughter Vicky who is ready to come home from New Zealand - gave her a mum to daughter chat - she so deserves to stay out there a little longer to holiday and explore......her contract finishes on the 30th November and then the plan to see the world begins.......and yes I will welcome her with open arms when she returns.  Just if she came back now I feel she would so regret not touring as was always the big picture once the trio had finished working on their respective farms.

Anyhow all lovely messages from the ladies yesterday at the workshop have been passed on.......and I could feel her enormous smile.....there was also emotion as well....................still got to be big and brave.

Here are some lovely piccies of the workshop taken yesterday I even managed to take a piccie of Helen - that is a conquest!  Will post card piccies up throughout the week of all our makes.

Well Costco beckons.................than crafting for me later - I have the fab December club set to work with from Little Claire...................very different and fabulous.  Cheerio for now.  xxGaynor

Little Claire - Easel Calendar Project.

Morning everyone,

Writing up this Friday blog project on Sunday afternoon after a glorious weekend.......hubbie and I visited Grasmere on Saturday - walked around Grasmere Lake and into the shops full of Christmas goodies and Calendars for 2014......inspiration for today's project gathered!

I have used Spiroflowers and Butterfly Flourish stamps from Little Claire.....the Spiroflowers reminding me of the grasses and seed heads we saw on our ramble.

I have used a 6" x 6" kraft card as my base card, taking an additional half from another kraft card to create my easel card.

Papers cut for matting and layering in 4mm increments.  The brown paper is from my stash.

The punch is from Martha Stewart and the Blank Canvas Paper Pad from Little Claire.

Bow created with polka dot organza ribbon from Little Claire using my simple and easy to use bowmaker.  The Spiroflower stamp is positioned around the paper to create a random pattern and the dragonfly from the Butterfly Flourish set being the main focus.  All are stamped using Memento brown ink......I think the turquoise, cream and brown a fabulous combination.

By adding the double sided tape to the base card I find it easier to line up the easel topper.

The topper embellished with the above.....................

Quick and easy not a promarker in sight.......................think my mum-in-law will appreciate this later in the year...................Hope you likey..................xxGaynor
