Special card - special daughter.

Hi all,

Sharing the 8" x 8" card I created for our daughter's 21st last weekend.  My initial inspiration was taken from Pinterest: craftingcottage.wordpress.com - thank you.

I embossed the background with assorted embossing folders. Martha Stewart punch and paper from Craftwork Cards. Stamped butterflies created with matching dies.  Diamond Glaze added to the coordinating card candy and a few selected butterflies on the backing paper.  As always glitter glue and crystals.  All in all the card took me 3 hours of playing.........sure if I made one similar it might not take quite so long.....ha ha.
Have had a lovely weekend experimenting with different crafts....had loads of fun yesterday afternoon - brusho and silhouette stamps......will share another day... xxGaynor

Little Claire - November Club Set

Hi,

Catching up as usual - had a busy few days - still can't believe that our daughter is now 21, love her to bits!

Here are a couple of cards created using the cutie November Club pack - the majority of card makers need an elephant or two stamp in their stash.  Whilst the set does have a cutie feel it is not confined to new birth, or youngster cards.......great for get well, birthday, congratulations etc.

Snowflake Owl - Little Claire

Hi,

Okay so October already - I don't have as many cards made this year ready for Christmas........perhaps I shall need to send them to those who I know will appreciate my efforts........fellow crafters and of course those nearest and dearest to me.

On with another share of makes:

Love the owl design........coloured with promarkers, memory box and spellbinder dies used. The snowflake is created using a punch from Martha Stewart.  Washi tape, adhesive stones and glitter glue.

Using my hessian ribbon once again...............good job I bought a couple of rolls.......xxGaynor

Friday Blog Post with Little Claire.

Good morning all,

Gaynor here with a posting for today - tis a card I created for my lovely hubbie......it is our 30th Wedding Anniversary on Monday 6th October.

I have used the beautiful silhouette picnic stamp from Little Claire alongside one of the sentiments from the Red Gingham Designs Mix set.

Here's my tutorial picture style:

I used one of my new spellbingers dies - perforates tiny holes as well as cuts out the circle......I recently treated myself to both the rectangle and square dies too......love these!

I stamped the image using Versafine Black ink - I heat embossed the image using clear embossing powder.

You can see that my heat gun is almost an antique......the price is still on the box......they are so much cheaper to buy nowadays......crafting was a lot dearer when I first began to craft!

I used a 148mm x 148mm white blank card.  Cut papers to 145mm x 145mm, 141mm x 141mm.  5.2mm x 141mm and 4.8mm x 141mm.  The papers are from "the stash!"  A little hession style ribbon, 3 tiny hearts brads and 3 punched out hearts.............these are "waste" from another die......and yes I save them and add to my stash!  The pattern panel uses vellum paper in the same print as the backing paper.  I fixed the vellum using a little double sided tape under where my stamped image is placed and the tiny heart brads.

and below is the finished card once all is assembled. The stamps images were fixed using 3D foam pads and some tiny adhesive pearls added.........Had to add pearls.......30th Anniversary is Pearl!

Now just to make sure my hubbie doesn't check out the blog prior to our Anniversary...................mmh!  Cheerio from me for now.  xxGaynor

Trying to blog more frequently..............another couple of Little Claire shares using Santa's Hat.  Have had a nosey at my makes and this year's Christmas is looking quite red and green this year up to now.......so perhaps I am looking forwards to a traditional Christmas.......would be lovely.....last year our daughter celebrated Christmas in New Zealand, sat on the beach in shorts and a bikini top with her own Christmas Tree.  Yes she too is looking forward to "normal" this year!

Hope you like my makes.......................xxGaynor

Little Claire - September Club Set

Traditional / not traditional - it is up to you how you use this set really.......yes has all the traditional elements there but...........................who knows...............am so looking forward to seeing what my teamies create using this beautiful set.

My first card uses the little robin and bird houses as a background.  The main Christmas birdhouse is designed to work beautifully with the bird table set released earlier this year.
The second card is created on kraft card, using the milk bottles and topiary tree stamp as a background.  Using Washi tape I decorated the background and also the two tags.  Both tags are stamped with designs from the September Set - yes a brilliant assortment of stamps.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the Christmas tree tag.

So whilst the images are traditional I have tried to create two modern contemporary cards..............xxGaynor

Penguin Hugs - Little Claire

Yeh drum roll please.........................Penguin Hugs such a cutie design from Little Claire.  As our DT Helen has used this new stamp in her Friday Project today......................we are allowed to share............so here are a couple of my little makes..................

My first card has used traditional colours, a little torn vellum and a memory box die snowflake.
Card number 2 has an embossed background - loved doing some embossing - had forgotten quite how many designs I have..............a little Washi Tape, a die cut vellum flower fixed using a brad.........using a contemporary colour scheme.................Penguin Hugs is an ideal stamp for quickie cards................

I have diarised this posting - we should be travelling home from Cornwall today..................strange things.......returning from our Summer escape and posting a Christmas card.......back to work on Monday.........and yes am looking forward to it..........................honestly!  xxGaynor

More shares......with Little Claire

Hi,

I am trying to be organised......honestly - busy packing for our escape to Cornwall.......and the weather forecast is mixed.......thinking it was much easier to pack in April to be honest.........so am taking my knitting to keep me occupied if there is too much liquid sunshine and diarising some blog posts for shares of cards recently created using the newly released Little Claire Stamps..........sneaky update.......their new Christmas Stamps are really, really lovely but I am not allowed to share any yet........so looking forward to seeing what my DT buddies have created............yes I have to wait too...................but.......................the September Project Stamp Set is just.................................a NEED!

I so love the lighthouse silhouette stamp - backing papers were freebies from a recent craft magazine, enjoying using the paper technique again..................
So love this image - many uses me thinks - such a strong image needs very little!
Lastly another in the Little Claire Tree House series - Wedding Birdhouse, such a beautiful image and so easy to create a special card...................that can be personalised for the recipients........

Well not so bad 4 more cards to share...............................hope you like my little makes...................Cheerio for now...................xxGaynor
