Looking forwards to Easter..........

Busy planning the week ahead prior to breaking up on Friday reminded me of a little Easter Card I have made using "Duck Mum" from Little Claire...........so thought I'd share today.

The border is created using the Gerbera Set also from Little Claire.  Card Candi coloured using promarkers to match the shading on the stamped images.  The panels are mounted on black paper and the corners shaped using an inverted corner punch.

I'm also busy working on designs for the Workshop organised by Little Claire on the Wirral on April 28th.  Cards designed and made but not coloured in yet..............am hoping and thinking that just maybe I can sit outside later - once all my "to dos" are done and get the colouring completed............well that's the plan lol!xxGaynor

A card as promised.....sorry later than promised!

As appears to be the way for a lot of people lately - we have no idea where all our time goes.  I have a big to do list and I am in the mood "to do"...............

A quick posting of a a card I made the other weekend with our daughter's help - she had her cast off yesterday is now getting ready to drive into Cheshire to meet up with her friends.......message to self - she will be okay and I can let her go.......think a glass or 2 of wine later my help me to "switch off" ish.......Yes I won't rest easy until she is safely home......think I may suggest she texts her mum.....just like she did when she first passed her test :)

A card made using a LOTV topper for my friends daughter Laura whose birthday it is tomorrow.  I have used my new Martha Stewart Border punch, Nestabilities Labels, some adhesive pearls, stones, prima flowers, adhesive ribbon and pretty brads.  Backing papers are Bazill dotted and kraft paper.  Faux stitching added with my pro marker fine liner.

Will try to add more cards over the weekend..............xxGaynor

Latest Blog Challenge at LC

Feeling very happy, chilled and a little tired.  Have spent a lovely day at the Papercrafts  Show at Harrogate.......spent loads, mainly on NEEDED dies and will need to try them all out tomorrow.............retail theraphy brilliant feel good medicine :)  Also bought lots of sparkly bits to stick on my cards......I love subtle bling and two pots of the most gorgeous glittery mixes......more than glitter has shiny chunks and loads of texture......Happy, happy, happy..................

Here's one of my latest cards using Duck Mum from Little Claire............hopefully ticking all the boxes as a spring card............with some Easter magic.

I've used a new Martha Stewart tile punch to create the mosiac paper.  The easter basket stamp is included in the set.  The flowers are from the Little Claire Gerbera Set.  Coloured using promarkers and backing papers from Blonde Moments which I have had for yonks!  Card Candi coloured using Pro Markers for a perfect match.  Faux stitching added with my Pro Marker fine liner........

Will post some of my makes.................once I have been busy....xxGaynor

Thrifty - or perhaps working on a need!

Today I had an assistant that was wanting to craft - or perhaps looking for something to do so as not to be bored.................Vicky is recovering well from her car crash and now has a reduced cast - her hairline crack in her elbow is mended............today she has been a "dab hand" at taking the backing from double sided tape and sticking 3D foam pads in the correct places...............adding embellishments and generally chilling out and being creative.

Now here is the thrifty part - Harrogate is looming next weekend like a big beacon of "feel good" - today Vicky and I have been making up cards using die cuts from Lily of the Valley - past purchases that have been waiting and waiting...............I still have more to use........but am now in more of a position to choose next weekend...........similarly dies and cardstock................there will be a NEED next Saturday.

The backing papers are freebies with a recent monthly magazine, embellishments from "the stash" and sentiments from Little Claire.

Tha base for this card is from a monthly kit set from Little Claire that I didn't get around to assembling.....a card for my lovely Mother-in-Law.

This card is for my mum.....................who loves cats and flowers just like me.

Vicky asked today - bless her whether I wanted to make my own Mother's Day Card for next weekend as she would struggle at the moment...............it has been lovely being able to spend more time together as a family whilst she heals..............her replacement car is being delivered tomorrow........not quite sure when she will be able to drive again................but with her determination hopefully sooner rather than later.  Watch out for a white Fiesta................with load music! xxGaynor

Little Claire - March Club Stamp.

A very clever new design from Little Claire.  Five separate stamps that can be used individually or grouped together as I have done here.  I have used a craft card blank, die cut a mount accented with a hand cut star.  Images coloured using promarkers and an adhesive nail head added for interest.
The striped backing paper is from my stash.

I have also added hand drawn lines around the stamped topper and edges of the card for additional interest.  Next on the agenda ..............Easter cards..............working with lovely bright new crisp fresh colours...............Spring my favourite time of the year :)
