Little Claire Designs - Robin Blog Project

Morning all,
I hope my posting finds you all well.  Today's blog project is using the new Robin and Text from Little Claire Designs alongside some of their delicious Dinkie papers.
So on with "the make:"

Ingredients:
Robin Set from Little Claire Designs
144mm x 144mm blank card
Little Claire Dinkie papers – I chose a red pallet to tie in with the robin image.
Grey backing card
2 tiny tags
Assorted punches
Glossy Accents
Adhesive pearls and crystals
Mementos black ink pad
Pro Markers:  Black fineliner, Poppy, Firewood, Caramel, Sandstone, Pumpkin, Icicle and Tan
3D foam pads and double sided tape

Method:

Stamp images as shown onto white stamping card and tiny tags. Shade using chosen promarkers.
Cut LC dinkie papers in half and matt onto coordinating matting card.  Dinkie papers are cut 8cm x 4cm and matting layer 8.5cm x 4.5cm.
Square in the centre is 4cm x 4xm matted onto 4.5cm x 4.5cm.
Using various punches – punch from residual paper.

Position on card blank and fix using double sided tape.
Fussy cut out the robin image and fix using 3D foam pads.  Add tag sentiment.
Position punched shape and fix using 3D foam.
Add pearls and crystals to accent and glossy accents to robin’s chest if desired.
I also added faux stitching for additional interest and dimension.

I do think he is a little cutie - hope I have shared a little inspiration this morning.  Cheerio for now. xxGaynor

Weekly Blog Project using a Dinkie!

Hi.

Beautiful April - Spring is my favourite time of the year.  I love all the awakening of nature - which helped to inspire my card project.
Using a single Dinkie Stamp from Little Claire - Dinkie Bee Flower and Little Claire's Pretty Pastels Delicate Daisy Paper Stack I have created an 8" x 8" scalloped card!

I matted and layered four of the lilac Daisy Papers onto black card 8.5cm x 8.5cm and positioned the four tiles evenly on a matt of orange card 19 cm square which I then layered onto a 19.5cm square of black.  I then created a faux stitch line around the pattern papers on each tile using my micron pen.

The centre white tile is 8cm x 8cm which I stamped using the Dinkie Bee Flower using Memento Black Ink as I have shaded with Promarkers - Tulip Yellow, Winter Berry, Orchid, Pastel Blue, Powder Blue, Pumpkin, Burnt Orange and Cool Grey 4.  I filled the tile with the image allowing sufficient room to create a faux stitched border using my micron pen.

I tied a triple bow of ribbon from the stash around the tiled paper fixed with thin adhesive tape.

I matted and layered the tile onto black, orange and black with 1/2 cm difference in the size of the layers. Stamped tile is fixed using 3D foam pads.
To embellish I have added Halo Gold Glitter to the centre of the flowers.  Glossy accents to the centre of the flowers and the bees.  Tiny adhesive crystals to the bubbles and 3 black crystals in each corner to balance up the design.

The die cut flowers are from Memory Box - I offset the black and white to add dimension and added a sticker to the centre.

Phew - and I was only playing with the one stamp and papers.  Just highlights how much can be achieved using the very versatile little Dinkie Stamps from Little Claire Designs.

Right off now to enjoy the last couple of days of my Easter Holidays........dare I mention the dreaded SATS are very much on the horizon on our return to school next week.....

My School's Moto is "Team" - Together Everyone Achieves More..... and very much so - there is no I in TEAM...........Yes I am very privileged to work in such an amazing environment......will still have the wobbles I bet on Sunday evening though!

Hope you have enjoyed my little make and perhaps I've helped to nudge an idea or two of your own.

Cheerio for now.  xxGaynor

New Dinkie Stamps from Little Claire

Hi all,

Drum roll ... 4 new dinkie designs released by Little Claire Designs today and all four can be purchased for the price of 3.

Tis a little unusual day today - I was on the annual year 6 trip overnight visit to London last week and managed to twist my knee on the coach on the journey down.  After a very tricky two days in London - yes I did manage to keep up with my group - just, and a ticking off from the medic at my local hospital on Friday am...I am now at home being good, resting and exercising as instructed :) The exercising bit really hurts - when you are told to take enough medication to be able to do the exercises but insufficient to function normally you think okay best do as I am told.  I need to be fit for our escape to Cornwall in a couple of weeks......Target set!

So on with a couple of shares:

I have created the two cards using Dinkies 3 Owls For both I have used backing papers from Little Claire, shaded using promarkers.  Faux border created using a ruler and fine micron pen.  Embellishments added from the stash.  The latter card has a border created using a Martha Stewart Border Punch - Zigzag.

Here's the flyer advertising Little Claire Designs offer:

Oh well - best begin another round of exercises - I may be gone a little time :)  Cheerio from me for today. xxGaynor

When creating the first card - I marked the stamped area adding the border.....oops......little disaster masked by adding an additional couple of bees from the stamped image - now did you realise why they were there?  I could of course have added blurb re extra dimension etc  But hey ho how many uh ohs when crafting become inventive and inspirational extras..............loads me thinks.

I have used punches on both cards to highlight the design.  Sentiments are from Little Claire Designs - Dinkie Sentiments: they really are a great little addition to the craft stash!

Yes of course glamour dust, adhesive stones and glossy accents............backing papers and cards from Little Claire.  xxGaynor

Dinkie Hedgehog Treats from Little Claire Design Team

Hello,

Yes me again back to share an additional couple of dinkie card makes using the Dinkie Single Flower Hedgehog Stamp

This duo have been created as the hedgehog flower pot dinkie cards - with the added addition of a memory box die.  The die was originally too long for the cute dinkie cards and so has a little fold at the back.  I used a different glue to stick the die down - the glue was way too strong for the back of my hand......all the guilty pleasure of removing pva set glue disappeared and I had a very red and sore back hand......won't be playing that game again :(  xxGaynor

Delicious Dinkies form Little Claire Designs

Little Claire Designs has certainly been keeping the Design Team very busy of late and at last we can share:  Five new dinkies have just been released with delicious backing papers in both dinkie and large 6 x 6 size.

So on with my shares:

Th dinkie pot hedgehog stamp is just so cute - and I am all for smiles.  I have used the new backing papers on both - the second being stamped directly onto the backing paper.  Both are coloured using promarkers, have glamour dust, glossy accents and of course either adhesive nail heads or crystals.

I created the border on both using a black micropen and ruler......drawing straight lines then creating tiny blips / peaks for interest.  Off now to diarise more shares. xxGaynor

Friday Silhouette Project with Little Claire

Good morning all, Gaynor here with the weekly stamping blog project from Little Claire Designs. After sitting down recently to write cards for forthcoming birthdays it quickly became apparent  that I need to make lots of male cards...

So revisiting techniques - everything in crafting comes around time and time again perhaps with a little twist: I decided to create a block shading background and use a silhouette image.  There is no matting and layering on this card!

As per the norm here is my step by step tutorial guide using images:

My circle template is waste - it previously contained circle sentiments!

 Coordinating pigment inks.

Template fixed using masking tape.

My little extras to add further interest and dimension on my one layer card.

On the completed card I have added a faux border using a ruler and a black micron pen. Unfortunately the glitter added is not showing up on my picture......I added ultra fine glitter to the water ripples - it does add dimension and catches the light.....

This card is so easy to complete - needless to say a little production line followed - more to share at a later time.  Hope I may have inspired a little and that you like my make.  Cheerio for now.  xxGaynor
