More springtime fun with Warren.

Spent this morning checking the calendar for up and coming celebrations.......so into the card box I went.....will have to get busy sooner rather than later...............but some pics of more designs using Warren and the coordinating papers from Craftwork Cards......for once I am feeling quite pleased with myself.....I am a hoarder.................very good at buying and squirreling away......however I have been enjoying using my purchases made last weekend.........

Hope that you like my latest creations............

Next onto the next blog challenge that will be announced at the weekend from Little Claire.

Been busy with goodies from the Papercraft Show at Harrogate

I have been a fan for a long time of Craftwork Cards - yes  I purchased items from their Warren Range on Saturday and had a play on Sunday......

The beautiful designs are so easy to work with and the differing designs quickly came together.........

I hope to add more later in the week.xxGaynor

Spring at last.

I just love this little image from Little Claire - it can never fail to bring a smile.  We have a wild area at the school where I work and I have been fortunate to have links with a local Wildlife Hospital. Through whom our school has become home to 3 hedgehogs.......no their little house is not quite as cute as the comfy boot.  Needless to say the hedgehogs once released quickly become established and go forward to lead independent lives.  Did you know that a hedgehog can climb a 6ft wire fence?

Hopefully this cute 'hog will bring a smile.

Something for the weekend!

Off to the Papercrafts Extravaganza at Harrogate tomorrow................ideas at the ready - check, wish list at the ready - check, tickets - check, credit card - check check!

A cheery card to match the forthcoming season...............1st day of spring on Monday and the clocks go forward next weekend.........this is my favourite time of the year :)

Fairy stamp from Little Claire, punched butterflies highlighted with glittery stickers, coloured using pro markers.......yes Martha Stewart punches and freebie backing papers...............The toadstool is highlighted with glitter glue and diamond glaze........I also like to create the illusion of movement adding fine black lines to suggest movement of the butterflies...........hope you like her and that she brings a smile.

Thought I'd also add pictures of the latest additions to our home:

Billy

Isla

Both Billy and Isla recently came into the care of Trafford Cats Protection.  Billy having been found in the freezing weather in January having been badly injured hiding under bushes and Isla originally a lost little kitten found in the middle of a park in Manchester last autumn.

Both Billy and Isla are settling in well together - just wish that they didn't feel the need to get up with the birds each morning at 5am!

Getting ready for Mother's Day

Had a lovely crafty afternoon yesterday.  Yes it was a lovely spring day.......but when you are "ward" to two young cats - Billy 6 months old and Isla 8 months........and are busy introducing the duo to each other......you daren't leave the house.

Whirlwind later...........Billy thinks he has won the lottery and Isla realising that her new des res is not single occupancy and that she has a permanent house mate...................work today was my respite.....yes I know that I am very lucky to be able to offer our home to two very needy felines...................it just takes a little getting used to.............Mollie and Robbie were both teenagers with  a lot less energy.

Anyhow, the card in question - yes another stamp from Little Claire.............which I thought lended itself to make an ideal Mother's Day card..................one card down one more to create!

Image coloured using my favourite pro markers.......backing papers from the every growing stash.  Embellished with ribbon from Mei Flower, greeting from a mammoth box from QVC and jewelled hearts again from "the stash", punch Martha Stewart............

Pom Pom Dahlia

Where does all the time go..................I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that life goes way too fast.....or is it as you get a little older the hours get smaller.  Perhaps a little like the fact that chocolate bars and bags of sweets are smaller too than how you remember them as a child....................

Anyhow latest card created using the Dahlia stamp from Little Claire......the sequined butterfly and background papers dictated the colour palette...............

Another flowery card

What a beautiful day..............looked good from inside anyhow, definitely appreciating the later evenings though....can get home from work without the headlights on..........

Another card created using a floral stamp from Little Claire.

and a dollie from Craftwork Cards....more wrapped thread, card candi and adhesive pearls....almost reminds me of how my Father-in-Laws greenhouse used to be inside................geraniums growing on ready for the summer hanging baskets.

A splash of colour

Another card created using Little Claire Stamps.

Almost a "Dolly Mix" assortment.........Candi and Scalloped Circle from Craftwork Cards.  I used gold thread once again and wound it around the design, later weaving through the stamped and mounted images.  Adhesive pearls and a "faux" stitch added and a litle glitter glue to highlight the petals on both the flowers.
Muted tones, beiges, browns and  pinks with a splash of lime green to herald spring!

Little Claire March Club Stamps

Time to upload some pics of cards created using the March Club stamp pack.

This designed allowed me to use some wooden buttons bought a long time ago.....I'm sure we all do it - like something, purchase because we are sure that it will be just what we need at some point.
The trellis was created using the Martha Stewart punch......and of course some Candi and glossy accents.

Embellished using adhesive pearls, prima flowers and tiny brads.

This image is such a cutie...........I'm sure I shall use it again and again.  The wellies are another wooden button tied to the card using paper threads....a little fiddly but a change!

More Martha Steware punching.......and adhesive pearls, a little glitter glue, coloured in using pro markers.

Last one for today...................."dig" those wellies.....................

Thinking towards Spring!

Sunrise is now officially 7am............wonderful...........I'm thoroughly enjoying watching all the spring flowers wake up from their long winter sleep...........and my thoughts turned to bright spring shades and of course flowers..

This card was created using the Little Claire Geranium Stamp, coloured in with Pro Markers, Martha Stewart Punch....the magic of Candi , adhesive pearls and a sequined butterfly from my ever growing stash.  For added interest I wound some silver thread around the backing paper............again from my stash.  Over the years I have collected wonderful backing papers and at last I must be strong and use them...........or else I'll have nowhere to put any new purchases that I just happen to have to make............I'm sure most crafters are thrifty horders!
