All chilled and aahed out!

Just been watching today's wedding all over again.......gosh didn't they look fab?

I needed to work to a sketch for the latest  blog challenge from Little Claire to go live tomorrow.  I've never worked to a sketch before and I found it very pleasurable..........at least I hoped that one aspect of the design would work...........how often do we begin inspired.......sort through the ever growing stash.....and shuffle bits and pieces around, cut and recut.........and feel that it somehow isn't quite working..........I bet I'm not on my own......

Have a try at working with the Little Claire sketch challenge......and I hope that you too will be happy with your results.

Here is the said card.....hope that you think it works too.

Loving the long weekend..............

As promised here is an additional card created using the Cats in Square Stamp from Little Claire.  A very simple card to put together all cut by hand rather than a cutter for a more "organic" feel.  I also like to way the matting could be regarded as looking at the cat squares through individual windows as it creates a shadow....

Flowers punched from the plaid backing paper with tiny flowers punched from paper coloured with pro markers to tie in with the highlighted square borders in the design.  A little lime green rafia round around the card twice and tied in a bow.  Little diamond accents added to different places in the squares to avoid symmetry..................Hope you like it xxGaynor

Happy Easter everyone..........

I don't ever remember Easter weather such as this...........an absolute gift.

I have been enjoying working with a cat stamp from Little Claire.............nine beautiful images in tiny squares of cats.......heaven.  Little Claire are also launching some fabulous sentiment stamps in circles which work very well with a circle scallop punch I have.  All of the sentiment stamps link to previously released larger stamps.  They also work really on their own with loads of other designs too.

Anyhow a card using the little squares cat stamp one with the new sentiments.

The images have been highlighted using pro Markers Pastel Blue.  The metal cat charm from my stash and the red rafia also from the ever increasing stash.............plus card candi in lime green to tone with the colours I have used, a little glitter glue and some shiny adhesive gems....

Another cat card should be available tomorrow.........xxGaynor

Beautiful weather

Another couple of cards recently created whilst on term holidays.................yep my school is one of the ones that already has had their term break..............the children are begining to flag in the beautiful warmth we are having............don't they know it is only spring!

This little teddy stamp is also from Little Claire and lends itself to many occasions.  I am enjoying adding adhesive pearls to my designs presently and additional embellishments that create dimension......just need a designated craft space at home................now I wonder when might one of my children "fly" the nest and allow me some additional space...............Okay silly thought I love them both dearly! xxGaynor

Latest indulgences.....................

Well I felt really treated watching Steve from Little Claire's on Create and Craft TV this morning.........all that chilling whilst poor Steve struggled through with his bruised thumb...........hope it gets better fast Steve....

Had a play with some toppers I recently purchased from LOTV - prompted by a look at the calendar and noted lots of male friends birthdays.............

Once all the components are collected  the cards come together pretty quickly..........saying that my dining / craft room still looked a lot of a mess whilst I was in creative mode.............I'm doing better can get tidied away in about 10 minutes now.....................  Also enjoyed using my latest punch by Martha Stewart purchased through Little Claire's - I have fancied this punch for quite a time and then found it tricky to source.  I like the results............very fitting for male cards in this instance I think.  Added some tiny mirrored tiles too....

Off down to Cornwall tomorrow for a weeks indulgence............yep really looking forward to it.......have also spent some part of the last 3 days card making, already feeling very spoiled..............feeling the shakes already! xxGaynor

These two cards have been created using the Spiky Flower set.............available from Thurs 7th....it is a stamp set that once you get working with it.............it lends itself to many, many designs.........especially shaped cards..............xxGaynor

The Right Time

Here are a few cards creating using the Little Claire Project Club Stamp - The Right Time.  Initially the design team had to work using a digi download as the designs were unavailable as stamps.  So something new for me to try..........and my printer is pretty basic.

Coloured using pro markers, prima flowers an assortment of papers from "the" stash, embellished with brads, candi, pearls and adhesive gems.............and a change for me................no Martha Stewart punch work!
