Challenge 37 at Little Claire

Little Claire has a fabulous challenge this month.  The brief is Autumn and a sketch.......fabulous sketch to follow................takes a lot of shuffling and messing around for me when I am in a creative mind.

I have used a recently retired Gerbera Stamp Set from Little Claire - I have previously worked with this set at one of the amazing Wirral Workshop days..............and am very much looking forward to the 26th October.............a fabulous day is promised.....for more details please check out the Little Claire website.  www.littleclaire.co.uk

Feed the Birds - Little Claire

Latest club stamp set from Little Claire is titled "Feed the Birds."  An exciting set which mixes and matches well.  Here are a couple of my designs created using this set.

I have used paper piecing, promarkers, a nestabilities lacey circle die, checked ribbon, glitter glue and adhesive pearls.

Becoming a club member is very easy - receiving each month a new stamp set plus card pack all ready to stamp and assemble plus project sheets.  Also regularly included are special offers in your mailings.

I am enjoying mixing kraft card and check papers - inspired by Scandinavia designs at the moment!

Back on track! Blog Challenge,

Wow what a summer it has been.................and I am not going to complain about the change in weather....we have had super weather in Cornwall.......back home friends are laughing that we got our healthy colouring from holidaying in the UK!  Love Cornwall and I can take their well meant humour.

On with catching up.................quickie today and then I'll load a couple more cards over the weekend or so.

Here is my card for the Little Claire latest challenge - holidays............

Yes perhaps inspired by my thoughts of my holiday - I made the card prior to our break.  I have used  RWAV Beach Hut stamp set.  Dinkie Camper Van, Sentiment Postcard and elements from the Beach Hut Stamp Set.  Coloured with my trusty promarkers and glitter glue......for the "sunshine" lit elements......

Friday Project at Little Claire.

Good morning – Friday project time and my turn this week….fingers crossed, I have diarised this post as all being well I shall be enjoying my hols in Cornwall…..just hubbie and I this time, Vicky is loving life in New Zealand and yes we are happy she is happy but we really do miss her……………anyhow on with a quickie make using one of the inspirational new Christmas Stamps from Little Claire…….initially they may appear a little tricky to colour in……but if you block colour with the lighter colour and highlight with a brighter colour…….easy peasy!!!!!

 

So on with the make:

Robin and Snowdrop Stamp

148mm x 148mm Fancy shaped card blank.

White organza ribbon

White Card Candi  - 4

Adhesive stones - 8

Promarkers:  Caramel, Burnt Sienna, Buttercup, Cool Grey 1, Lime Green and Pastel Blue.

 

Stamping Card

Double sided backing papers from the stash plus brown toning paper

Stardust Glitter Glue 

Square and snowflake dies

 

 

Method:

Matt and layer coordinating papers.  11cm x 11cm onto 11.4cm x 11.4cm

Strip 5cm x 13.5cm onto 5.4cm x13.9cm

Tie organza robin around the strip.

Stamp robin and snowdrop onto stamping card and trim to 7.5cm square – carefully trim around the tail to overlap the die and colour using promarkers as shown. Trace around the entire image using pastel blue to add dimension.

Die cut mount and snowflake.

Layer up elements using 3D foam for the stamped topper.

Add snowflake and card candi with 3D foam pads.

Glitter glue and adhesive stones to finish.

 

Couldn’t resist sharing the piccie of Isla …….she leaves me alone whilst I create…..and once setting up to take piccie of finished card she poses dutifully in my photo box……………….she is such a cutie…….and I honestly do not go to find her…..she is my shadow and loves posing……aw bless!

New Club Set from Little Claire....

Loving the summer break.......been busy all week......choosing.  I have been working on designs for the Wirral Day Workshop on the 26th October.....I have chosen Christmas designs working with new stamps from Little Claire recently released......so far so good!

I forgot to post a couple of cards created using the latest lovely set from Little Claire.  I also made additional cards for work colleagues who recently retired....this stamp set being just perfect given all the beautiful weather we have been receiving......

I've added a postcard sentiment to the second card......fingers crossed that LC may be working on some Christmas postcard sentiments.......all components in both cards are available from Little Claire.
